What are the installation steps and precautions for door and window anti-fall chains?

Installation steps:

- Step 1: Determine the installation position, usually on the connecting side of the door/window sash and the door frame (window frame), 10-15 cm away from the corner (please refer to the product instructions for details).

- Step 2: Mark the position of the screw holes with a pencil to ensure that the installation points on the door/window sash and the door frame (window frame) are aligned.

- Step 3: Drill holes with a drill bit of the corresponding specification, and the drilling depth should be slightly longer than the length of the screws.

- Step 4: Attach both ends of the anti-fall chain to the door/window sash and the door frame (window frame) respectively, and fix them with screws. Note that the screws should be tightened but avoid excessive force to cause cracking of the door/window frame.

- Step 5: Test after installation. Open the door/window to check if the anti-fall chain is smooth without jamming or loosening.

Precautions:

(1) High-quality anti-fall ropes should be strong and durable, with strong rust resistance; they can be applied to various top-hung windows and casement windows.

(2) Anti-fall ropes must be installed on the rotating side of outward-opening windows, not below the rotating side, and should be installed as high as possible.

(3) The fixed base on the window frame should be higher than the fixed seat on the window sash, and the distance should not be too long or too short. A too long distance will affect the opening angle of the window; a too short distance may cause the steel wire rope to be clamped when opening the window.

(4) Pay attention to the tightness of the screws of the anti-fall rope system. Check and maintain it at regular intervals; deal with problems in time when found.
