According to relevant standards, qualified door and window anti-fall chains should have a static load-bearing capacity of not less than 50 kg, and a dynamic load-bearing capacity (such as when doors and windows are impacted by wind) of not less than 30 kg.
The load-bearing requirements vary slightly in different scenarios:
- Anti-fall chains for doors and windows in ordinary residences: It is recommended to choose products with a load-bearing capacity of 50-80 kg to meet daily protection needs.
- Large-sized doors and windows (such as width > 150 cm): Anti-fall chains with a load-bearing capacity of 80-100 kg should be selected to cope with the situation of large self-weight of doors and windows.
- High-rise buildings, coastal areas and other areas with strong wind: It is recommended to choose anti-fall chains with a load-bearing capacity of more than 100 kg to enhance impact resistance.
It should be noted that the load-bearing standard should be comprehensively judged based on the chain material, welding technology, screw fixing strength, etc. It is not simply the load-bearing capacity of the chain itself, and the installation firmness will also affect the actual load-bearing effect.
