The installation of door and window anti-fall chains for balcony sliding doors is different from that of casement doors and requires a special method:

- Installation position: Install near the upper and lower rails of the sliding door, usually fix the connecting piece on the top of the side of the door leaf and the corresponding door frame of the rail (near the side of the sliding direction) to avoid affecting the sliding of the door leaf.

- Chain direction: Choose a bendable chain (such as a thin stainless steel chain) to ensure that the chain can move with the door when the door leaf is pushed and pulled without jamming; the length of the chain should be tight when the door leaf is opened to a safe distance (about 30-40 cm).

- Fixing method: If the rail is made of metal, fix the connecting piece directly with screws; if the rail is made of plastic, add a metal gasket to increase the stress area and prevent the fixing point from breaking.

- Double protection: If the sliding door is a double-leaf door, it is recommended to install an anti-fall chain on each of the left and right door leaves to limit their opening range respectively; a buffer pad can be added at the end of the chain to avoid noise when the door leaves collide.
